Yep. That's the same place I have been looking for. I have an old video from over 10 years ago made almost a few days before dredging was stopped completely. I have been studying the location of one particular area and finally found that area I had been looking for. Thanks to over 10 years of floods and erosion some good material was exposed. All this gold was from surface to about a foot deep and a 5'x3' stretch. I am going to dig out the entire streak. We have begun to expose large crevices that are vertical and very large. Time to get the big bars back out.

Very nice, finding a honey hole always makes one's day! very nice. is the gold kinda orange in south Carolina? If you use your imagination to correct the true color of the dime you can probably judge the true color of the gold.

I think Indy would do the same. I don't go after small gold any more. I gotta get 2g - 6g to feel productive

Ya, I am.. but once ya get a large amount of gold, or a couple grams in a day, and then you go back to getting 30 pieces it kinda makes you wonder about all the effort your putting into that small amount of gold. Especially when your pulling 2+ gram nuggets commonly, seeing a little fly poop close up just doesn't do it for ya any more. 41 pounds = 1 5 gallon bucket, so you moved 492 pounds of dirt. that's alot of work Indy and I are getting old, I need some youngins to help me if I am gonna move that much dirt Haha

I mean, I went with Mark to a creek with no gold, we dredged there all day one time. But he wanted to see some old friends. I let shadow dredge, he wanted to know if I wanted to get on the nozzle, I shrugged and told him he could have ALL the gold for his efforts.. he worked all day. Had a monster hole, half way through the day mark was sitting on the bank depressed. I already knew why.. shadow was wondering what was going on, then he seen mark dump his cons back in the creek. It wasn't worth it. Just a short story, but in 8 picker creek, 8 pickers in 30 mins, and some random nuggets will bring a smile to anyones face.

its not always about the gold or running motorized equipment to get the gold. some just like to get outside. for me its the adventure of walking the hillsides just looking for gold. not everybody likes to be around loud equipment. some people just like to hang out with friends. gold is great and all but its not always about the gold.
