I got a job last nite as a peanut butter cook had to move 500 lb drums of peanut myself, one per hour. After 6 hours I was beat and told supervisor, sorry can't handle 500 lb drums of peanut butter. In the creek, yes Matt and I have moved huge rocks, but at least we help each other, team-work. Give me huge rocks mining gold, but moving 1/4 of a ton drums myself forget it. At least we either leave to winch out, team-work it, or let it sit. The 500 lb drum of peanut butter killed me and surely not worth $9 p/h. They also failed to give me a break every 2 hours too. After 4 1/2 and and dam drum finally got a break which by then was ready to drop. Not to mention had to re-fill a jelly hopper that cracked my head on a pipe every scoop full every 45 minutes. I love to eat peanut butter, but I won't me eating peanut butter for a while, actually a bit sick of smelling it right now...lmao

they didn't give you a forklift or bobcat to move those with? in the great words of johnny paycheck... take this job and shove it lol.

Nope no forklift or bobcat, tried their bread runner line but it was near as bad. no room between people standing and wall. Same with peanut butter cook,cramped space to work in, only had a 2-wheel dolly made to move drums, but getting the barrel to the floor off pallet had to man- handle drum. then when I got it to the pumper had to push that 500 lb drum onto pump plate. Yes after 6 hours of pure hell torture I walked out, but did discuss with head supervisor my issue. It just never fails, I get the job no one wants. So now looking at applying for a dish washer some where, at least I know I can handle that.

I don't blame you I would walk out too. I used to be a dishwasher at a country club. one of the best jobs I ever had... I miss it from time to time.

I told Loki what happened, he agreed too. Don't think they will find a person to put up with that unless they like the young kids I saw there or someone that is built like a gorilla or at least re-engineer their set-up at most. Mom got me some food for the house of all things 2 jars of peanut butter..lmao
