Have you hit botton yet or is this just above bedrock, etc.?

We hit this gravel layer of very rich red iron stained for a few inches thick. then big gravels beneath and then the big ole boulders sticking out the end. The entire gravel layer has been about 2' thick. Beneath this I hit a floor. Mostly a decomposing mica shist type material. Easy to dig though but just started at the very end of the day to really punch into it. I spent most of the weekend getting the entire side down to the floor. Next time I'm gonna keep going through to see where the next layer of gravels might be.
