Now, I have to prime and paint frame. Mount motor and start to work on sluice and cone. Race team will help with that. Have all hoses and other parts needed to complete dredge. Need to get air tank and air lines up.

Let's have birth of a forum header :PP Damn, you are an impatient individual. Clean ups, artwork, etc. Did you get invited to any parties as a kid? Yes, dear... I'll work on your forum name. Geee....

Looking good. I know you are anxious to get it in the water. Good luck! Thanks, Indy. Trying to build a dredge that I can convert to 3" to 4". Just change out cone and box. I'll have around 800.00 in it if that when finished.

What is going on with the bottom of that float in the first and last photo?

That's gonna be heavy art with all that steel, I bet it will weigh more than your 5.

That was aluminum that was glued to protect floats by previous owner, Mark. The steel should not weigh anymore that what was on it originally and frame has less steel. I can pick up whole frame with one hand easy. It is thin walled steal. I have painted the floats so they are black now and will protect them even more.

Anyone notice the plumbing fitting on air compressor? Draws from top. That is a cap that fits a 1.5" pvc pipe for snorkel. D-Will said this compressor was way better than Keene model and will produce steady air at depth. Got motor and air com for 200.00. Thanks again Dwight. Going to get up with Brody and use his Uncles sheer and break for box. He has gigs for bending metal for riffles too. So easy pesy and we will have another dredge up for use. Terms pending.

James, even though it is thin walled steel, you have to get a size thick enough to weld on otherwise you will burn through the steel trying to weld. Thought I would include this as you stated you want to start welding someday. Rock on dude!

Ya why didn't you go with the 1/2 inch tubing that's on all the other dredges?
