Irradiation

Hey Indy, Do you happen to have the equipment to irradiate clear topaz or know where I can go to have it done?

I don't. I am going to do some heat treating experiments soon. Trying to get the lab set up now. A company I worked for made sapphires, emeralds, rubies and opal. They didn't share their processes with me but I used to do experiments in the R&D lab trying to duplicate their process. Made some color changes but not great synthetic stones like they do. The company is Kyocera. Your check out sapphire at the grocery store is made by them.

Cool if you happen to get down a steady process let me know, as blue topaz is worth a little more than clear.

 Just stick them in your pocket and go to the emergency room and have them x-ray you!!!

The lab still has a little way to go. Still moving in equipment...what ever that wasn't stolen, that is. Will post a picture of it this weekend.
