They don't know the value of gold. I put that little nugget in someone's hand and they said "It can't be worth anything." When I told them the value, their eyes lit up and said really.. I said yep, this just goes to show that everyone doesn't see the value in our hobby. Unless the TV tells them differently.

I have that happen all the time, I have a nugget that weight almost 9 grams and people are amazed when I tell them what it's worth!

You didn't sell it did you?
I just don't think I could ever trust a jeweler to melt gold onto a gold nugget I found.. Like hey would taint my gold.
