It is not installed right now but simply bolts onto the engine in place of the muffler. This was ran without water a few years ago and burned the paint off of it, but last year I bead blasted it and put a fresh coat of red muffler paint on. Looks like new until I run it without water again LOL.

Inline screen filter to prevent sand or gravel from getting into the system and plugging it up. That is what causes super heated water or steam. Theoretically if that happens the expansion tank above would help catch it.

Mixing valve mixes the heated water with cold water from the river to regulate temperature.

Just as a side note, I try to wear a undersuit of some type. Lavacore, skin etc. I like the hot water tubing to be between the layers of suit and not discharging directly against my skin. This another safety measure.

Cold water splitter. One leg goes to the input of the heater, and one adds the cold water to the mixing valve.

I should also add that the heater was made by Terry Stapp of Stapp mining in Kaliforina. I have a simple instruction sheet in my gold room, and if I can remember I will scan it and upload it as well.
