I might like the original design, have they used it? I want to see video of the big rocks going all the way down the sluice.

I experimented with a screen down the box and had mixed results. You must have enough volume of water to move that rock over the screen. When doing so, it moves the small stuff unless you can control the bottom area. I believe that is why Keene introduced that drop system in their 3 stage. Another idea is to drop and isolate. Keene did this too with double and triple sluices on bigger dredges.

There is a huge difference between a normal screen wire and the woven wire used on this dredge. The woven wire helps keep the rocks moving.
