I agree work stinks, but I wouldn't be able to do without it, it pays the bills and I'm glad I got a good job, even though I can't get enough time off work to go find gold!!

I'm self employed so glad to have the work. But I go crazy if I can't get out at least once a month. The creek calls my name every day when I go by. Already have work for Sat. so will be at least 2 weeks before I can get out. Unless I can slip of early one day.
Keep you pan in the creek. At least in GA. Yields more GOLD in your pan.

If I lived near any gold bearing streams I would get wet at least once a week, but I live a minimum of 2 1/2 hours one way to any gold, and that very small gold, the closest place to me that has any gold would be up near and around Augusta, it's about 4 to 5 hours to get to any good gold bearing areas, either North Georgia, upstate S. C. or N.C.

Went up to Cleveland area today to check out some camping spots and to my horror, I found the creek running semi clear and the sunny shining. Of course, I didn't bring anything cuz it was supposed to be raining all day there and they should had big rain last night. DOHHHH!!
On the bright side, I did find a good camping spot for the future.
