Hello guys. I write articles for the first time. To make the silicone v-plate, It's used by silicone sealant. It's about 2mm thick flat plate. After making a Hera, I am going to complete Valley. blog.daum.net/hl2dus/16870681

I don't think a silicone would be best for a slick plate. You can't use an aluminum piece for the slick plate? Are you running this in a stream or is this a clean up device?

I mean building silicone v-mat. It need two steps. step 1 is building flat plate. step 2 is building v-shape. Not yet completed. It's fun.. We call 'Hera' for the pushing tools. maybe this word came from japanese language..

I think the vmat made out of silicone will wear out, it's not made for abrasive materials.. Maybe 1 if 2 uses..

The experienced people say that the catch ability of Silicon plates are exellent. My experience is low, so I'm not sure yet. Black Sand seems to be well taken.

I've worked a bit with Silicone, actually made my own mat at one point. use type 2 pure silicone glue and thin with mineral spirits paint thinner till you can get it to poor and level itself out. add artists paint to it, just a little and mix till its of a uniform color, the paint has water bound up in it and the color lets you see how uniform you have made the mix. the water reacts with the silicone and kicks the hardening process. it will need to weather and outgas (store outside for a little while) and there will be a little bit of shrinkage as the spirits evaporate.
if you want to make a mold out of silicone instead, mix in corn starch instead of spirits till its no longer tacky and you can mold it like clay before it kicks.
