The picture is actually a pan from my buddies concentrates. I went highbanking with two other guys and they ran a highbanker and I ran upstream with a mini highbanker. They got into some good ground working at the base of a waterfall. We prospected all afternoon, got some good gold. I shot some video and will try to put it on youtube soon. Its my buddies spot, been talking to him about going back.

Heres all the mercury coated gold my buddies got that day, they had a great day to say the least, much better than me :-) If I can get something worked out were I can bring another person or two, I will let you guys know. The only issue is, the owner knows what he has and may want a hefty cut. I had to give up some gold that day :-)

The owner took more than 25%, he overlooked the cleanouts and would snuffer up his cut right there on the spot. Sort of felt like Parker with Tony Beets next to me, but I think Tony only took 15% :-) But I can't complain, still took some nice gold home. Nothing chunky, but lots of fines with some coarse pieces. Owner's creek owner's rules I guess, don't know if were going back, but I'll talk to my bud.

Oh man... with that percentage, you would think he would line the creek with prospectors.

How much you think you got? I got close to a half gram. Buddies got to split about 2-3 grams, but they spent the whole day highbanking the best spot on the creek. My first time working the creek, so I spent a few hours just panning around getting a feel for the creek. Highbanked later that day, set up in an area where the creek started to widen out and turn, found my best gold there panning. Never got on any true bedrock, but the top layer had a good bit of color, creek still producing fairly well.
