mayo river boiling hole is located on the virgina state line and is a roadside attraction where you can park and paddle all day long. the temp that day was 35 degrees.this is my punk rock version.

36 degrees? You must be crazy! I guess the adrenalin rush and all that paddling kept you warm. Cool video. Makes me want to go, just in the summer though. Lol.

that does help and being so focused at the time i dont notice untill i get done how cold it is. i also wear dry pants and a dry top.

Try going up the rapids, thats what I was doing this weekend.. Made it past the first one, but the 2nd one got me LOL

we need to hit up some rivers man. id love that. also going up rapids is called attaining. ive eddy hopped my way up class 2 before but it wasnt easy lol.

next time uwharrie comes up we should hit that. easy stuff on that river and if you know the right levels you can thrash. when the river gets about 5 ft over lowwater bridge there are only 3 rapids and two of them are major holes that i avoid at all costs. i like the uwharrie when its up about 2-3 ft above normal. thats about right under lowwater bridge.
