Well at least on videos I have done in the past I got this part right!!!
Mark, you need to mount a cup holder on your camera/phone, or get a beer hat with straws!!!

He can gravity feed out of the can directly into his mouth and never flinch on a shot. Good idea Gold Seeker.

The small camera is a Canon HV 40 with an external mike and windsock. It also has a special wide angle lens from Canon. Amazing camera and even more amazing with the lens. The larger camera is a Canon XH-A1 with a special lens. Many movies at your theatre were shot with this camera. The video I shot and got nominated for a Grammy was this camera. But, camera's evolve quickly and most have gone to solid state memory. When I bought the big camera, a memory card was $750 and only held 20 minutes of video. That's why I stuck with the tape. Some will use either. The lens and camera operator are you most important elements. Even fairly cheap cameras today do a good job. Fairly cheap camera, great lens, shotgun mike, lavalier mike, headphones and good shots make good video.

Oops, I just watched the video. The camera at 3:00 is the HV-40. The XH-A1 doesn't appear in this video. Duh!

to me it looked like a sony vx 1000, 1100, 2100.. those are very sought after cameras to film action sports such as skateboarding. they record to MiniDV which I like a lot because of its quality and just the way it looks. I use a panosonic pv gs320 MiniDV camera with a 37 mill fisheye lens for action sports but I use a small point and shoot sony cam that records to sd card for all my prospecting trips. everything is going to hd now. you got nominated for a grammy? how does one do this?

I shot and edited a video for a musician. His peers in the business nominated him. The talent nominating another must also be a Grammy winner or previous Grammy nominee. Then the Grammy board selects a small number from the total to be accepted in the running. We made the final cut but got beat by Rhianna. Our names are on the Grammy plaque with Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and some others. Pretty big honor, at least to me, for an unknown videographer from small town SC.

I seem to remember that you posted that video before haven't you? If I'm wrong or right I would love to see it again, or for the first time!
