Thanks, indyme2. Found that out the hard way. I was reviewing the schematics and saw the other (exhaust) reed. Now I need to go back in to check it. Thank goodness it's easy to get into.

Air worked great. A little cleaning and a diaphragm was the ticket.
But... I keep burning up a belt for some reason. Motor is in line with pump, Had the belt tight. Oh well... back to R&D to find the problem. Will post when I find it.

A belt that is over tighten can also wear it out.

I think I may have the motor or pump not exactly lined up. Not sure though. Did my best. Looked straight by sight. Is there a better way to align the two?

It doesn't take much being out of alignment to wear out a belt, when I can I use a straight edge on the pulleys, but that hard to do with the pump in the way, if you can get a piece of fishing line against the pulley and pull it tight and as it touches both sides of one of the pulleys check to see if the line is perfectly parallel to the belt, you would need to do this again on the other pulley and make adjustments until both pulleys are straight with the belt.

Yes, you are correct. A straight edge is tough to get in there. I'll try a string.
