Well we spent all week over spring break last week at Oconee. There were a few nice days here and there but mostly a rainout and cold... I did however get to go around and away from my normal stomping and digging spots to some area's I'd never ventured into on the property. We have 120 acres and several small feeder creeks that run into the main creek. We blazed a 4 wheeler trail up the mountains following a small spring and notice an area with vertical upshoots at 45degree angles and about 1' in between that was packed full of material. Needless to say we tested and found a few small colors out of a bucket worth. Ok so not bad we come back a few days later and test again but in larger scale. This time we dug in three areas and accumulated about 20gallons of material that we took back to the highbanker and ran. Again very few colors but chunky and small... Other days I got a little highbanking in and checked out some other areas that we are going to dig new open pits.
We had a great time regardless of the weather, the downtime gave a good chance to do chores around the camp and got the camper all squared away for summer. I have been to busy to pan my cons this week so no pics for right now, will add later. Thanks for reading!

Just got back from Costa Rica. Took pan and shovel but... every creek was dry! Land was very dry as well. It is the end of the dry season down there. Very nice place to visit for vacation.
