About 8 or 9 years ago. Everything is freaking posted by hunt clubs now. In a few more years, we will be extinct unless we lease land. SC has carefully "chosen" land for heritage trust, park expansions, etc; for the last 30 years and made it off limits to us for collecting and prospecting. Can't blame any party for this. Done by pugs and dems both. This just started happening after the state drilling survey that was completed about that time.
Seems strange that most of the land they "confiscated" is very mineralized and rich in gold.

They do this all over the nation, it sorta like a bank for the states and federal government for when things get really bad, then they will be digging up all the valuable deposits!!
