I always wondered what I was breathing when tending a dredge, I try to stick to the sides now, or use a pipe to kick out a rock or two..

Kicking out a rock or two probably won't hurt you at all. Just hanging out at the end of the dredge watching the riffle action is probably not too good for any length of time. I am going to eliminate the snorkel on my dredge. Just put a filter on the side of the compressor. The snorkel is in the way anyway.

Ya i always kept the snorkel off, and made sure the wind was going away from my intake breathe way when i was dredging.
