We still have a lot of material to run now, we spent a lot of time moving the large slabs to be able to dig again. This is just the beginning

I just got a little question. Why does a guy sluice, but has a 2400 dollar shaker table?

The 3 main reasons I enjoy sluicing: No motors to keep running... No gas to keep buying... Good friends to talk to on a quiet creek in the middle of nowhere.

Yep just like the old days of the 49's by hand but no donkeys either thats where Freddie the Bear comes in. Pick & Shovel, pry bars, and come-along / tow straps. Done an awesome job moving material by hand and finding gold. The only time it sucks in our pit is a thunderstorm, all day rain, cold temps.

It funny how the same work, say like digging a ditch will wear you out much faster than it does when your digging the same amount of dirt and finding good gold!!

LMAO... Guys I hand dig big stumps out of my yard with same tools I dig in the creek with; shovel, pick, pry bars, chain saw, and water. Instead of a tree stump, its a huge rock and I do have 4 rocks on my property, that look like some of what we pull out of the creek. One grandpa a coal miner my other grandpa a rock hound, and me a gold miner...hmm family pattern maybe..lol. Its more than just the gold, its the adventure finding things in the dirt besides the gold..Loki knows from classifier, being where there is no cell service, outside enjoying nature, and watching for snakes.
