You allow them to place ads on your videos. The more views and clicks on your ads, the more money you make. The money is paid after you make at least $100 and is a direct deposit.

I am not sure if indy does it, I have known a few prospectors to do it. I don't get enough views to get that money lol

I did it for about a year but quit because people kept complaining about the ads. I tried to explain that they could click the ads off after 5 seconds and that the ads helped cover the costs to produce the videos. Some were ok with it and started clicking on additional ads to help increase the income and others just whined. They will send you a 1099 at the end of the year so you will have to pay the IRS on your income. Google changed the rate of pay so now it's only a fraction of a penny per view. If your channel is getting 1500 - 2000 views per day you can make about $85 to $150 per month. The most I ever made was $185 per month and if I didn't post any video for a while it took two months to make one payment of about $110. So, you won't get rich. Kind of like gold prospecting. Lol. that was very well explained and direct to the point. now i understand why some vids have the ads you can click after 5 seconds. a person would have to come up with a very good video to get that many a day.

Monetization..I allow only 1 ad at beginning that you can skip after 5 seconds..but you can let youtube spam your channel as well...not for me Ive only made 2.47$ haha

I turned off the monetization on all my videos. Until I find that big nugget, I am sure I wouldn't get a lot of hits. LOL.. Maybe if I had a few almost naked women dredging, I can increase my traffic.
